Funeral service for Lorene Puckett Russell, 93, will be Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church with Bro. Fred Childs officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Oden Ridge Cemetery.
Ms. Russell died on Monday, September 5, 2016 at her daughter’s residence. She was born March 10, 1923, in Morgan County to Almus Leander Puckett and Victoria Catherine Cole Puckett. She worked as a waitress prior to her retirement in Michigan and in Huntsville, Alabama. She enjoyed writing poems about childhood memories for a weekly paper for a church in Huntsville. She published two poems in a book and enjoyed traveling with her friends after her retirement. She passed away at her daughter’s home in Eva. Ms. Russell was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Alton, Troy, Glennis and Coy Puckett, and three sisters: Geneva Smith, Thelma Puckett ad Eunice Peck.

A host of loving nieces and nephews
and three sister-in-laws.
