Lorene Maxwell, 86 of Waterloo, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 10:00-11:00 at Morrison Funeral Home in Central Heights with the funeral service following in the funeral home chapel. Wayne Woods, Sonny Hargett, and Adam Richardson will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery.
Lorene was a native of Arkansas and a life-long resident of Lauderdale County. She was a member of the Petersville Church of Christ. She enjoyed working with the Underwood Petersville Volunteer Fire Department as support personnel and being a part of the Relay for Life for the Florence Police Department.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
Lorene is survived by her children, Joe Maxwell (Sherry), Buddy Maxwell (April), Cody Maxwell (Lorie), Pam Maxwell (Jami), and Melinda Maxwell; sister, Helen Cissom; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers are Bradley Maxwell, Jimmy Crosswhite, Brandon Patterson, Roy Pigg, Jordan Johnson, and Maverick Patterson.
