Lorene Fisk Dilworth, 89, died on October 15, 2019, under care for dementia for many years. A true Huntsville Lady, she was a graduate and Homecoming Queen of Huntsville High and went on to attend Judson College. She married her high school sweetheart William “Bill” Penn Dilworth III. She was the daughter of Walter and Aureva (Ivey) Fisk.
Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her son, Walter Ivey Dilworth and her brother, Leslie Fisk. She is survived by her son, William Penn Dilworth IV (Angi Penney).
With a busy life of activity in civic, cultural and especially church activities, she was also a business owner. She travelled throughout the Eastern United States exhibiting and selling the handmade products of Frills and Furbellowes. Her “Chester” clothing accessory was developed for use after a mastectomy for dress and casual wear.
Join us to honor Lorene with Holy Communion at the Bibb Chapel at the Church of the Nativity at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, and afterward at Maple Hill for the graveside service and internment.
Memorials to honor Lorene may be made to the Church of the Nativity or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
