Loraine M. Duffey, age 76, died on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
A native of Jackson, TN, she was born on Feb. 22, 1941 the daughter of the late Jacob Thomas and Loraine Wisdom Martin. She was married to Kenneth Joseph Duffey who preceded her in death in 2005. She was a homemaker for many years and later worked with Bancorp South from 1993 until retirement in 2012. Loraine was a loving wife and mother who loved to cook and care for her family. She loved her Lord and her church family at Northside Assembly, where she was active in the Young At Heart Sunday school class. She also enjoyed traveling especially out west.
She is survived by her sons, Mike Duffey of Jackson, TN and John Duffey and wife Sarah of Bathurst, Australia; a daughter-in-law, Susan Heard of Atoka, TN; a brother, Doug Martin and wife Dayna of Merritt Island, FL and nine grandchildren.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Northside Assembly with Pastor Randy Carter officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the memorial service at the church.
The family has requested that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Northside Assembly, 27 Oil Well Road, Jackson, TN 38305.
