Lora Mavis Richardson Jarnigan of Tuscumbia, April 2, 1921- July 19, 2016. She had resided at the Cottage of the Shoals for the last 4 years, up until then. She was a life long resident of Tuscumbia. In 1941 she joined Cedar Creek Baptist Church. She was the best homemaker of all times.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 20, 2016, 6 until 8 at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday from 12 until service at 2:00 in the chapel. Brother Gatus Cheatham officiating. Burial will be at Dempsey Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by husband of 61 years Joe (Jobe) Jarnigan; son Hebron L. Jarnigan of Liberty, MS; Hebron’s daughter Nikki J. Eichwizler; daughter-in-law Odessa N. Jarnigan of Tuscumbia; son-in-law Carl Allen (Butch) Young of Chickamauga, GA.; parents, Louis G. & Beulah Richardson; sisters and spouses Ora B & Elliott Taylor; Mildred & Owen Kuykendall; Lois & June Taylor.

She is survived by Wathel & Doris Jarnigan of Tuscumbia; Delores & Martin Vickers of Chickamauga, GA; Barbara & Randy Walker of Tuscumbia, AL.

Wathel’s children Felicia & Mike MacIntoch of Knoxville, TN; Pam & David Fleming of Sheffield, AL; Delores’s children Melinda & David Massey; Darlene & Kenny Dedmon; Carla & Rob Quinn all of Chattanooga, TN & Will & Jennifer Young of Sault Ste Marie, MI. Barbara & Randy children Chad Walker of Tuscumbia, AL; Olivia & Matt Ball of Russellville, AL.

She was blessed with four great grandsons; and six great granddaughters; two great great granddaughters and 2 great great grandsons.

She is also survived by sister Easter J. Lyles; and a young lady that loved mamaw dearly; Lisa Vickers of Chickamauga, GA and a host of nieces and nephews that referred to her as Aunt Lo Mavis.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
