Lonnie Eugene McCulloch – Obituary

LonnieFuneral for Lonnie Eugene McCulloch, 83, will be Friday, March 29, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Central Park Baptist Church with Dr. Jackie Kay officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. McCulloch died Monday at his residence. He was born in Morgan County to John Dewey McCulloch and Persia Brothers McCulloch. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Stella Mitchell, Christene Self, Mildred Rogers and Martha Hendrix.

He is survived by his wife, Jewell Prater McCulloch; two daughters, Rhonda McCulloch Yates (Doyce) and Melissa McCulloch; two granddaughters, Laura Yates Joseph (T.J.) of Helena and Anna Yates Lovell (Matt) of Madison; two great-grandchildren, Anna Katherine Joseph and Johnathan Marshall Joseph; one sister, Betty Millwood (Russell) and two brothers, Lucian McCulloch (Doris) and Shelby McCulloch (Carolyn).

Mr. McCulloch retired from Amoco with 22 years of service, and was a member of Central Park Baptist Church. He dearly loved his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and Alabama football.

Pallbearers will be Larry Self, Mac McCulloch, Jeff McCulloch, Stephen McCulloch, Patrick McCulloch, John Millwood and R.J. McKee.

Honorary pallbearers will be Amoco retirees.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Valley, Dr. James Boyle and Dr. Robert Cerfolio for their dedication and care.
