Lonna May Heatherly, 97, of Hackleburg, entered into rest on March 30, 2017 at Hendrix Health Care.
Mrs. Heatherly was born on May 5, 1919, in Rienzi, Mississippi. Lonna was a seamstress for years and she enjoyed quilting.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 6pm-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 2pm. Brother Gary Wakefield will officiate. Burial will follow in Old King School House Cemetery.
Lonna is survived by her brother, Russell Vanzant; sisters, Jackie Roth, Florene Reynolds; niece, Ruby Sutherland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Heatherly; parents, Lewis Henry and Willie May Vanzant; brothers, Tim, Wilson, Melton, Frank, Earl, and W.L. Vanzant; sisters, Dicie Crittenden, Addie Brown, Ann Nutt, and Dovie Allred.
