Lona Lanell Johnson, age 72, died Sunday, March 27, 2016.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, 2 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee.
Mrs. Johnson was a native of Belmont, Mississippi and alumni of the University of North Alabama. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Edward Trantham.
She is survived by her sons, Calvin Morrison and William Johnson, both of Cherokee; daughters, Dr. Deborah Conway, of Savannah, Georgia, Sara Moore, of Tuscumbia, and Rebecca Morrison, of Makawao, Hawaii; four grandchildren; and her brother, Michael Milto.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
