Lona Ann Montgomery Vandiver, age 70, Tuscumbia, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Helen Keller Hospital.
Lona was simply described as “a good woman”, who loved her family above anything.
The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Jason Swinney. Burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Russellville.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Laurie Scott; son, Jeff Vandiver; grandson, Shawn Vandiver; granddaughters, Brittany Parrish (husband, Alex), Heather Gongaware; great-grandchildren, Jace Gongaware, Jaxon Parrish, Memoree Parrish; friend and companion, Ed Herford; her mother, Dorothy Louise Montgomery; brothers, Don Montgomery (wife, Rita), Gary Montgomery, Steve Montgomery (wife, Pam); sister, Robin Jackson (husband, John); host of nieces & nephews; and several special friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmie Lee Montgomery; and great-niece, Emily Jackson.
The pallbearers will be Ryan Romans, Adam Montgomery, Noah Montgomery, Alex Polasky, and Mike Jones.
