Lola Mae Colwell age 75 of Toney, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014. Mrs. Colwell was born December 11, 1938 in Limestone County to Howard Kyle and Hazel Baugher Kyle.
Services for Mrs. Colwell will be Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 11:00 until 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hatchett Cemetery with David Cox and Russell Melvin officiating.
She was a member of Market Street Church of Christ. She lived her life for her children and was a wonderful Christian lady.
She is survived by her sons, Randy Ray Colwell and wife Yvonne, Ray Colwell and wife Tonya, Jimbo Colwell and wife Regina, Teddy Colwell, all of Athens and Joey Colwell and wife Caroline of Bridgeport; daughters, Jennifer Sellers and husband Rod of Wetumpka, AL, Ella Melvin and husband Russell, Gayle Allen and husband Mickey, all of Athens, and Sonya Cottingham of Decatur; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Emmons Kyle and Ira Lee Kyle; sister, Edna Williams; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ray Colwell; son, Memory Matthew Colwell; parents, Howard and Hazel Kyle; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Marie Bevins, Paulette Waller and Lucy Crouch.
Pallbearers are Joey Colwell, Rod Sellers, Jeremy Colwell, Mickey Allen, Matt Traywick, Brian McMurry, John Broam and Cody Kennedy. Honorary pallbearer Caleb Colwell.
