Lola Lane of Decatur, Alabama, passed away on September 15, 2023. A graveside Service Will be held at Johnson Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Danville, Alabama Monday, September 18, 2023 at 10:30 am with Pastor Kenny Baskins officiating.
Mrs. Lane is survived by her sons Ron Stroup (Celeste) and Donnie Lane (Dianne). She had four grandchildren Todd Stroup (Jessica), Britney Green (Jeremy), Sara Derrick (Trent), and Daniel Lane (Kristin). She also had seven great-grandchildren Hayden Witt, Owen Green, Hadley Stroup, Graham Green, Emmy Stroup, Sibyl Green, and Lane Derrick.
Mrs. Lane was born on July 26, 1932, in Decatur, Alabama. She graduated from Decatur High School and worked at Monsanto Textiles plant and subsequently Solutia in Decatur, Alabama. After retiring, she continued to work with her sons in their business to stay active. She was a member of Ninth Street Methodist Church and the Church at Stone River in Decatur and was involved with many of the outreach programs at her church.
Pallbearers will be Todd Stroup, Jeremy Green, Daniel Lane, Trent Derrick, Hayden Witt, Darrel Gray, and Dale Gray.
