Lola A. Thorne, age 93, of Cherokee, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013. The funeral service will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee with Jim Fiscus officiating. Burial will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Thorne was a lifelong member of Mynot Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Lester W. Thorne.
She is survived by sons, Billy Thorne and wife, Teresa and Jerry Thorne; three grandchildren, Andrea Casteel and husband, Brandon, Candace Weirich and husband, Andrew and Billy Thorne II and wife, Amanda all of Savannah, Tennessee and five great-grandchildren.
