Lois Williams, born in Fayetteville, TN on August 11, 1950, passed away peacefully at Donaldson Care Center on Monday, January 22, 2024.  She is survived by her husband, Wally Don Williams; sisters, Evelyn Smith of Loganville, GA, Linda Smiley (John) of Fayetteville, TN, Marie Dye of Fayetteville, TN, and Rita Clardy (Jack) of Meridianville, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Donald and Nervia Ray Dye; sisters Reba Doyle and Donna Angers; and brothers Ralph Dye and Loyad Dye.

Lois was a native of Lincoln County, TN and raised on a farm in the Kirkland community.  Being the sixth child of nine was a special honor to her, and she loved her large family dearly. She met her husband, Don, in 1978, and they were soon married that same summer. One of the highlights of their life together was working at Fayetteville Square alongside her husband as security monitors.  Many residents were touched by their love and compassion for this community.

Lois was well known for her green thumb.  If you ever visited their home, you would see her surrounded by the many beautiful plants and flowers to which she enjoyed tending.  In addition to gardening, she loved cooking and gathering with her family. In her final months when her strength and mind were diminishing, you would still find her talking about her family and planning her next birthday party, including what she would wear.

She was well-loved by her husband of 45 years, cherished by her siblings who surrounded her and treasured by her nieces and nephews, some of whom adopted her as a grandma figure and lovingly called her Go-Go.

The family will receive friends and family on Monday, January 29, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Her funeral Service will follow at 1:00 PM Monday.  Burial to follow at Kirkland Cemetery.

Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
