Lois Story Hyatt – Obituary

Lois Story Hyatt of Pulaski passed away peacefully on October 11, 2017 at her residence in Pulaski. She was born in Lynnville on June 12, 1929 and was 88 years old.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, a longtime member of St. Andrew Memorial United Methodist Church, and retired from South Central Bell with 25 years of service. She loved to sew, cook, play Rook, was an avid Alabama Football and basketball fan. She loved spending time with her family and snuggling with her beloved puppy dog, Maxie.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 14th from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.
Funeral Service on Saturday following the visitation at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral home with Rev. Moses Han and Rev. Brandon Bass officiating.
Burial will be in Giles Memory Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Jack Holly Hyatt; parents Shirley Campbell and Martha Parker Story; brothers Raymond Story, Cordell Story and Dolly Story; sisters Virginia Cullens, Mary Jones and Lorene Elkins and a son-in-law, Steve Blakely.
She is survived by her,
Daughter, Beverly Blakely of Athens, Alabama
Daughter, Gwen Holder of Nashville, TN.
Grandchildren, Steven (Hilary) Blakely of Decatur, AL. Stephanie (Justin) Calabrace of Franklin, TN. and Morgan Holder of Ashville, NC.
Great-grandchildren, Vivian Blakely of Decatur, AL. Caroline, Abigail and Joseph Calabrace of Franklin, TN.
Several nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends also survive.
