Private family services for Mrs. Lois Myrtle Smith, age 85, will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2020. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith, a retired purchasing agent for J. Hungerford Smith, member of Humboldt First United Methodist Church and the Comfort Quilters Club, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2020 in the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Smith and a son, Greg Deegan.
Mrs. Smith is survived by three daughters, Diana Luckey of Jackson, Catherine (Parker) Maine of Germantown and Colleen (Ronnie) Dillard of Old Hickory; a son, James “Jim” (Carolyn) Deegan of Red Bank, MS; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Luckey, Celeste Scott, Bill Luckey, John Coats, Joy Bryan, Sherrie Gooch, Lacy Alexander and Greg Deegan; thirteen great grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
