Lois Gidman Mitchell Sr.,age 82, of Florence, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014. Visitation will be Saturday, October 25, from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Shaw Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Shelby Jean Watson Mitchell.
Survivors are his children, Sheila Mitchell, Cathy Burross, and Connie Albright; son, Lois G. Mitchell Jr.; sisters, Odell Mitchell, Dot King, and Mary Mitchell; brother, Frank Mitchell; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
