Lois E. Rupil Horton, 90, of Fort Payne, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023. She was born June 22, 1932 in West Virginia to the late Marion Rupil and Neda Green Rupil. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Fort Payne since 1943.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, January 23rd at Wilson Funeral Home with Dr. Marshall Henderson and Dr. Pat McFadden officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4 until 7 p.m.
She is survived by her sons James M “Jim” Kirby (Sarah), Bobby Horton (Vicki) and Pat Horton; sister Mildred Barnes; brother Kenneth Rupil (Delilah); grandchildren Brad Wright, Eric Graden, Karah Nix, and Mandy Holcomb; great-grandchildren Vince Wright, Clayton Graden, Ashton Nix, Addison Nix, Lauren Holcomb, Libby Holcomb, Lana Holcomb, and Ellison Crow; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in by her parents Marion and Neda Rupil, brother Bill Rupil and wife Rita, grandson Drew Horton, and great-grandson Clint Wright.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
