Lois Catherine Stanley, 92, passed away on Oct. 21, 2017. She was born on April 28, 1925, in Texas. She graduated from Josephine School in Josephine, Texas. She was married to the love of her life, Sam, for 44 years. Lois and Sam lived their entire marriage in Decatur. They ran the Texas Sweet Onion Shed and L&S Greenhouse for many years. They were lifetime active members of 9th Street Methodist Church.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Grady Stanley, and parents, Marcus Gordon Clack and Roxy Castle Clack.
She is survived by eight nieces and nephews as well as great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
A visitation service will be Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery.
