Funeral service for Loda Wynell “Nell” Eubanks Rogers, age 90, of Decatur, will be Friday, September 21, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Daren McNish officiating. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Rogers died Monday, September 17, 2018, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born May 10, 1928, in Morgan County to James Velton Eubanks and Wilma Inez Sharp Eubanks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Rogers; her parents; great-grandchild, Bentlee Sloane McCollum; siblings, Dean White, Bobbie Travis and Wilma L. Pressley.
She is survived by three sons, Charles W. Rogers (Carol), Gary S. Rogers (Judy) and Glenn T. Rogers (Teddy), all of Decatur; one daughter, Shelia Rogers Watson of Decatur; one sister, Mary E. Roberts of Decatur; six grandchildren, Amy R. Blalock, Mary Beth R. McCollum, Julie R. Branum, Charles T. Rogers, Beau Derek Rogers and Joshua S. Rogers; and 13 great-grandchildren, Connor Blalock, Ella Grace Blalock, Mackenzie McCollum, Peyton Branum, Collin Rogers, Charli McCollum, Chandler McCollum, Paxton Branum, Anna Claire Rogers, Madi Rogers, Caty Rogers, Olivia Rogers and Houston Rogers.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, great-grandsons, and nephews.
