Lockie B. "Tootsie" Ray(ÿ.ÿ5ÿ¦Rô|(=‚Lockie B. “Tootsie” Ray of Waynesboro was born August 26, 1930 in Blue Springs, TN in Perry County, the daughter of the late Amos Blain and Edie Ray Creasy. Mrs. Ray died Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Wayne County Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 11 Months, 5 Days. Mrs. Ray enjoyed sewing for her family and collecting dolls. She was such a selfless person who enjoyed always giving to others especially giving to her children and grandchildren. Over the years she worked at Angelica Manufacturing to help support her family but her first duty was her devotion to her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was married to Willie Dee Ray July 14, 1946 who survives of Waynesboro, TN. To this marriage 4 sons were born, Billy Gene Ray of Clifton, TN, Jerry Wayne Ray and wife June of Linden, TN, Jimmy Dan Ray and wife Cathy of Savannah, TN, and Aubrey Dean Ray and wife Donita of Waynesboro, TN, 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, abnd 4 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ottie Mae Pitts Walker.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro with Larry Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Prater’s Chapel Cemetery near Clifton with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers are Brandon Ray, Billy Ray, Dustin Ray, Derek Ray, D.J. Quintana, Braden Quintana, Bradley Hinton, and Blaine Ray.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 1st from 5:00-9:00 PM and Saturday, August 2nd from 8:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
