Lisa Shaw Jones, 66 of Owens Cross Roads, passed away Thursday, March 25th. Lisa was born in Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana and graduated from Huntsville High School in 1972. Lisa’s family was everything to her, and she loved to travel. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and taking them on adventures to new places. She spent the last several years taking care of and traveling with her father. Everyone was welcome at her home, and she enjoyed having people of all ages gather in her backyard. She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Belle Matthews Shaw.
Survivors include her father, Lt. Col. Richard Joseph Shaw; husband of 34 years, James ‘Jimmy’ Jones; children, Kristin Lowers Moore (Curt) of Harpersville, AL and Kacey Lowers Rice (Daniel) of Cape Coral, FL; and grandchildren, Peyton Lowers, Sam Moore, Will Moore and Alex Moore.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 30th, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Bill Crosby officiating.
