Lisa Joan Green, age 62 of Estill Springs, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Harvey, Illinois, on September 8, 1961, to the late Auburn Talmadge and Pearlean (Morris) Ethridge. Lisa had previously worked at Bennett’s Pharmacy, Holt’s Diner, Samples Restaurant, and as a bus driver for the Franklin County School System. She was currently the owner and operator of L J’s Cleaning Service. Lisa enjoyed taking care of her home as well as working outside in the garden and was a wonderful cook. With her husband, Mark, she would travel to various places to try new food and enjoyed the times they spent riding their Razor in the mountains. A Christian woman, Lisa was a member of Beech Grove Community Church in Francisco, Alabama and loved reading Christian-based books. Her family and friends will remember her “full of life” personality, thoughtful nature, and forgiving soul. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Clayton D. Green; and siblings, Alice, Bessie, Helen, Wallace, James, Winston, Arelene, Talmadge, Wardina, Betty, and Norman. Lisa is survived by her loving husband of forty-four years, Mark Green; children, Corie (Jeremy) Smith, and Dillon (Chelsea) Green; grandchildren, Phebe Matthews, Carmen Green, Sawyer Matthews, and Kathleen Green; siblings, Richard (Debbie) Ethridge, George (Debbie) Ethridge, Sharon Carr, Marlene Johnson, and Sara (Raymond) Mrozek; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Jim) Smith, and Stacy Green; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 23, 2024, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Joseph Sheehy officiating. Interment will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery in Francisco, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Lisa Green’s Medical Fund at Citizen’s Community Bank.
