Lisa Gail Bishop Taylor, 62, died unexpectedly at her home on June 9, 2025, with a smile on her face. She was born May 11, 1963, in Oxford MS, to Billy Lamar Bishop and Sherry Tutor Bishop. She worked in her family’s business, Taylor Construction and ran a home/office cleaning service. She was a long-time member of Troy First Baptist Church. Lisa had servants’ heart, always caring for others.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Taylor of Troy; two children, Ashley Taylor and Nathan Taylor; two Grandchildren, Braden Smith and Abbey Taylor; sisters, Diane Brown (Rodger) of Belden and Marquita Bland of Pontotoc; brothers, Randy Bishop, and Darrell Bishop (Shelia) of Oxford.
She was preceded in death by her parents Billy Lamar Bishop and Sherry Tutor Bishop and her brother-in-law, Jimmy Bland.
Pallbearers will be Rodger Brown, Greg Brown, Michael Bland, Braden Smith, Darrell Bishop, Ricky Taylor, and Jeb Brown.
Services will be at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc MS at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2025, with Bro. Brock McWhirter officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
