Lisa Diann McGee, 66, Florence, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Visitation will be Saturday, February 3, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel.
Lisa worked at Piggly Wiggly and Food Outlet for a combined 39 years. The family is thankful for all of the love and support shown from the store’s employees and patrons. She was an incredibly kind and generous person who deeply cared for her community. From quietly helping those in need with gift certificates and cash, to providing support during difficult times by delivering food baskets and flowers, Lisa truly made a positive impact on the lives of many. She extended her generosity to cover groceries, kids’ fees, equipment, and even provided a safe place for children. Her love and compassion will be greatly missed by the entire community. Lisa had a deep love for her grandchildren and played a special role in their lives, providing love, support, and cherished memories. Lisa’s love for her family extended beyond her community, and her grandkids were fortunate to have her in their lives. They will hold onto those precious memories and the love she shared with them. May Lisa rest in peace and may her legacy of selflessness and love continue to inspire others. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lee Thompson and brothers, Larry and Jerry Thompson.
Lisa is survived by her loving husband of forty-five years, Jerry McGee; sons, Bradley McGee and Matthew McGee (Laura); and grandchildren, Nevaeh McGee and Dustin Hoskinson. Lisa had a special bond with her dogs, Sophie, Peaches, and Sheba and cherished them like family.
