Mrs. Linnie Webster, age 89, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026. Born on April 15, 1937, she was the daughter of Lois Franks and Earline Craig.
Linnie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a faithful member of Midway Baptist Church, where she found great joy in worship and sharing her gift of music as a member of the church choir. She was also a passionate fan of Alabama football and the Atlanta Braves, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer on her favorite teams.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Charles M. Webster; her son, Charles W. Webster; her sisters, Louella Hargraves and Joy Balch; and her brothers, Robert Franks, Randall Franks, and James Franks.
She leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory, including her daughters, Donna W. Hill and Jane McGill; daughter-in-law, Tammy Webster; grandchildren, Wendy Boyce (Aric), Whitney Hill, Zachary McGill (Haley), and Rachel Malone; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Sue Loschke (Paul); brother, Johnny Franks; and numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Gerome Hilliard officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Parvin, David Nunley, Doug Webster, Sonny Balch, Sonya Biggerstaff, and Greg Biggerstaff. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Linnie’s life was marked by faith, love, music, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and treasured memories will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
