Funeral services for Linda Sue Thaxton, 73 of Blue Springs, MS are set for Friday, July 23, 2021 at 2 pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow in Dogwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 5 pm-8 pm, and Friday, July 23, 2021, from 1 pm-2 pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel. Bro. Warren Jones will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Phillip Derrick, Ricky Evans, Vincent Johnsey and Jimmy Gardner.
Born June 30, 1948 in Hughes, Arkansas, Linda passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2021 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Linda is survived by her son, Thomas Christopher Thaxton and wife Marilou of Blue Springs, MS; sister, Barbara Johnsey of Corinth, MS; 3 grandchildren, Krisstopher Gene Thaxton, Robert James Thaxton, and Steven Louis Thaxton; niece and nephews, Lisa Derrick and husband Phillip, James Matthew Gardner and wife Tammy and Vincent Johnsey and wife Randi; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Quitman Johnson; mother, Virgie Cooley Johnson, and nephew, Robert Wayne Gardner.
