A Celebration of Life Service for Linda Sue Hickman, 69 of Corinth, Ms, will be Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 11:00 A M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment in Union Cemetery. Rev. Raybon Richardson, Rev. Warren Jones, and her nephew, Chris Latch will officiate the service. The family will receive friends following the service. Mrs. Hickman went to be with her Savior on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Surrounded by those who loved her most, she passed away peacefully at home after an extended illness. Mrs. Hickman was born April 26, 1955 to Billy and Virginia Battles in Corinth, Mississippi. She married Barry Wayne Hickman on November 19, 1970, and together, they raised two daughters over their almost 54 years of marriage. Her love and dedication to her family was boundless, with her grandchildren being her greatest joy in life. Mrs. Hickman was an accomplished pianist who faithfully served her Lord as church pianist for many years. Later in life she used her musical talents as a ministry, volunteering in Corinth and Tupelo nursing homes and assisted living facilities. She was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church in Tupelo and enjoyed volunteering in the church library. For 25 years, Mrs. Hickman worked as a pharmacy technician for pharmacist and special lifelong friends, Donny Kitchens and his wife Vicki. After her retirement, she supported her husband in managing their family business. She is survived by her husband Barry, her sister, Ann Parker (David) and her daughters, Christy Carroll (Tony) and Stephanie Kirtane (Sachin). In addition, survivors include grandchildren, Hillary Black, Tri Talley (Lauren), Trevor Talley, Jay Carroll (Holly), and Nick Carroll (Debralee); great-grandchildren, Abel, Thomas, and Barron Black, Dru Talley, Caleb, Emma, Layla, and Madi Carroll; nephew, Chris Latch (Sarah) and nieces, Carrie Moore (Alan) and Sylvia Gwathney (John). She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, infant granddaughter, Ila Virginia Black, and her special furry companion, Holly. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Dr. Demetrio Prota Martinez, Dr. Marcus Ueltschey, and Dr. Tyler Crosswhite and their nurses and staff with North MS Health Services; Kayla Vaughn, RN; Kelsey Howell, RN; Sabrina McPeak, RN; Lora Brown, CNA; Renata Peterson, CNA; social worker Brittany Cox; and chaplain, Jason Pellizzer of Gentiva Hospice; and Cindy Hodum, RN and Demetress Watkins, CNA of NMMC Home Health for their loving care, kindness, and compassion. Pallbearers are Tri Talley, Trevor Talley, Abel Black, Jay Carroll, Nick Carroll, and Jerry Talley.
