Mrs. Linda Sue Gilley age 73 of McMinnville, TN, died Sunday, September 19, 2021, at her home with her family by her side. She was born February 01, 1948, in Sewanee, TN, was a retired bank teller most notably at City Bank & Trust and at First National Bank, and was a member of Central Church of Christ. Linda enjoyed working with crafts, was an avid reader, had a huge heart that she readily used taking care of others, loved laughing and making others laugh, and was dedicated to her dogs “The Three Amigos” and Brody. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert E. Harris, Jr. and Pauline Williams Harris and her brother Donnie Edward Harris.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years Tolbert Gilley, son and daughter-in-law Toby and Laurie Gilley, daughter and son-in-law Tiffany and Dean Cromwell, grandchildren Isabella Gilley, Grant Gilley, and Chloe Cromwell, sister Lillian Harris, sisters-in-law Rhonda Harris, Martha Glover, and Jean Hayes as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Funeral service is scheduled for 3:30 P.M. Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Toby Gilley and Dean Cromwell will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. The Gilley family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at McMinnville Funeral Home.
