Linda Smith, age 72 of Hickory Valley, passed away at her home on Monday morning, June 13, 2016.
Linda Lavenia Smith was born on Saturday, May 13, 1944, to the late James Lewis Smith and Thelma Shearin Smith in Hardeman County, TN. Linda was a Baptist who loved Gospel music, especially the Gaithers and Roy Acuff. She liked to make hot pads and loved to sing. She enjoyed having visitors, especially preachers. Linda lived all of her life in Hardeman County.
She is survived by a sister, Shirley Vincent; a brother, Lawrence (Cindy) Smith; sister-in-law, Jackie Smith; and 10 nieces and nephews, Angela Passmore, Glenda Coston, Norman Vincent, Vickie Solis, Chris Smith, Mandy White, Jimmy Smith, Zondra Scott, Christy DeLashmit and Cynthia Dickerson.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Smith.
