Linda Smith, age 63, of Moulton, gained her heavenly healing on October 4, 2026, at Decatur Morgan Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Through it all, Linda’s faith never wavered, and she continued to be a source of strength and inspiration to everyone around her. A celebration of her beautiful life will be announced at a later date. Parkway Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Guestbook available at www.parkwayfh.com.
Linda was born July 5, 1963, to the Rev. George Sparks and Louise Hutto Sparks. A devoted worship singer who loved the Lord with all her heart, she spent her life lifting others up. Linda was a true encourager, a compassionate listener, and possessed a contagious smile that could instantly light up any room. While her family was her greatest earthly blessing and they deeply mourn her absence, they find comfort knowing she is now singing in the heavenly choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Pam Flannigan.
Linda’s legacy of love lives on through her husband of 45 years, Mike Smith; her son, Chris Smith (Cindy); her daughters, Misty Bean (Sammy) and Christy Brooks (Joe); her brothers, Jackie Sparks (Cathy) and Roger Sparks; and her sisters, Judy Faulkner (Ken) and Penny Pace. She was the deeply adored grandmother to Christian Gasiunas (Libby), Ivy Rose Smith, Madison Simmons (Noah), Jaxon Smith, Allie Brooks, Nate Brooks, Hayden Brooks (Hannah), Hunter Brooks (Molly), Jaylen Bean, and Austin Bean; she was also the great-grandmother to Atlas Jude Brooks and Cora Shea Brooks.
