**Celebrating the Life of Linda Rutherford (1948 – 2024)**
On March 8th, 2024, the world lost a beacon of joy and love with the passing of Linda Rutherford, aged 75. Linda, affectionately known as Nana, leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Born on September 10th, 1948, Linda grew up in Clermont, Florida, where she attended Clermont High School, graduating with the class of 1965. Throughout her life, Linda wore many hats – she was a dedicated nurse, a devoted mother, a loving wife, a cherished grandmother, and a proud great-grandmother.
Linda’s life was enriched by the love of her family, including her late husband, James Rutherford, and her parents, David and Elizabeth Steele, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her granddaughter, Ivy Rutherford, and grandson, Deavon Rutherford, along with their families, including her great-grandchildren, Dominic, Issadora, Cecilia, and Santo Hernandez.
In addition to her immediate family, Linda is also survived by her sisters, Mary Black of Clermont, FL; Nancy Harrison of Mt. Dora, FL; and Karen Steele of Manorville, MN, who will carry on her memory with love and admiration.
Linda’s zest for life was evident in everything she did. She found joy in the simple pleasures – picking blackberries, playing with her grandchildren, and crafting blankets for the local fire department. Her unwavering faith in God and dedication to her family served as guiding principles throughout her life.
Though Linda may have left this world, she has reunited with her beloved husband in the eternal embrace of heaven. As we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the countless lives she touched along the way.
Rest in peace, dear Linda. Your legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know you. Until we meet again.
