Linda Purser Blackburn, 84, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Red Bay, AL to Jess Willard and Florence Mildred Yielding Purser. She worked as a RN at the Red Bay Hospital for over 37 years and was a member of the Red Bay Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 28, 2 p.m. at Red Bay Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Lindsay and David Corum officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, August 28, 11-2 at the church. Burial will be in Burnout Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Raymon Blackburn; her children, Rebekah Holland (Harold Harrison), Mark Blackburn (Melissa Gaye), Daniel Blackburn, Lucas Blackburn and Breeze Blackburn; three grandchildren, Kaleb Blackburn, Breanna Blackburn and Alesha Beaty and two great-grandchildren, Waylon and Jackson Beaty.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ralph Purser and Tim Purser and a grandson, Jessie Bartholomew Blackburn.
