Linda Paulette ”Polly” Evans

Linda Paulette ”Polly” Evans, born October 19, 1945, went to be with the Lord at Princeton Medical Center on June 30, 2020.

She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved the Lord and enjoyed traveling to listen to Southern Gospel groups perform. Polly spent more than twenty years driving a school bus for Walker County Schools and loved all of her kids so much! Her best days were spent cheering for Alabama football or at a race track watching stock car races.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Howard Evans, parents Alma & David Bailey, brothers John, Roger & Gene, as well as sisters Jenny & Verdell.

Polly is survived by her three sons Howard (Leigh) Evans, Richard (Myra) Evans and Keith (Genia) Evans. As well as, her grandchildren Justice (Alicia), Walker, Austin, Hunter, and Gracie Evans and her sisters Debbie Rhodes and Marie Meeks.

The graveside service will be held by Collins-Burke Funeral Home at Walker Memory Gardens on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. officiated by Bro Rick Sherer.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Dementia Society of America.
