Linda Norman Carroll, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born on August 8, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana to William Clay and Emma Esther (Copeland) Norman. She was raised in northern Indiana until age 11, when the family moved to Lincoln County, Tennessee. She was a graduate of Flintville High School. She attended college and received her accounting degree in Illinois. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and currently of Huntland United Methodist Church. In June of 1965, she married Christopher Carroll in Franklin County, Tennessee and they immediately moved to Illinois where they resided for thirty-two years. Chris and Linda returned to Tennessee in 1997. She worked in finance and accounting at Mid-West Company in Illinois for twenty-five years. Upon her return to Tennessee, she worked for McBee and Ford in Winchester before accepting a position with Franklin County Government in 1998. She continued to work for Franklin County until her retirement in 2007. After her retirement, she worked part time for the 12th District Drug Court Foundation. Linda loved to read, especially medieval history, religious history, and mysteries/thrillers. Anyone who knew her knew that she probably had a book in progress. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting since retirement—especially making quilts for family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher Carroll; son, Brian Christopher Carroll; and grandson, Robert Christopher Carroll. Linda is survived by her sons, John (Marianne), and Blayne (Carolyn); daughter, Christie (Jeff); granddaughters, Amber, Ashleigh (Anthony), Josey (Christopher), Amanda (Charlie) and Autumn; grandson, Blayne, Jr (Nikki); great-grandchildren, Harper Emma, Wesley Robert, and Skyla Kay; and special friends, Callie, Dennis and Diane, Nancy, and Becky. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 4, 2022, in the Moore-Cortner Chapel. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Lincoln County, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Huntland United Methodist Church.
