Linda Martin was born May 9, 1946 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Jobie Millard and Vonnie Dee Robertson James. She was united in marriage to Roy Martin on June 7, 1967.
Mrs. Martin was a homemaker. She loved listening to country music, reading the Bible and she especiallly enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Honey Pie. She was a member of the Olive Hill Baptist Church in Guys, Tennessee.
Mrs. Martin departed this life on April 19, 2014 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 67 Years, 11 Months, 10 Days. She is survived by her husband, Roy Martin of Ramer, TN; a daughter, Sandy (Martin) Comer and husband Ricky of Rienzi, MS; a granddaughter, Lindsay (Comer) Ford and husband Jeremy of Rienzi, MS; four sisters, Imogene Jernagin of Guys, TN, Anita Butler of Eastview, TN, Doris Kirk of Ramer, TN, Donna Childers of Ramer, TN; special family firends, Kathy Meeks, Andy Meeks, George Martin, hospice staff of Jackson Madison County General Hospital and the nurses on the 9th floor; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by two sisters, Lavern Robertson, Dean Meeks; a brother, Clyde James; niece, Jessica Childers; nephew, Donald Meeks.
