Linda Lou Bailey, 77, of Ardmore, Alabama passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Friday, November 7, 2025.
Mrs. Bailey spent a majority of her life in Ardmore, Alabama where she was a member at Piney Grove Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed ministering to those in need as well as spending time with her grandchildren.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Dotson and Irene Sturgell Dotson, her husband, James Edwin Bailey, one brother, Doug Dotson, as well as one grandson, Ashton Chandler Bailey.
Linda is survived by one son, Jamey (Janel) Bailey, one daughter, Missy Phillips, two brothers, Ronald Dotson and Art (Joan) Dotson, one sister, Faye (Eric) Shelander, five grandchildren: Bailey, Emily, Ashley, and Will Phillips, and Reanna Bailey, as well as one great grandchild, Ryland James Robertson.
A visitation will be held for Mrs. Bailey at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM. A chapel service will follow visitation with service time beginning at 2:00 PM. Speaker Richard Bailey and Bro. Adam Mikel will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Gatlin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
