Linda Joyce Stewart James, age 71 of Sumiton, went to be with her Lord on February 1, 2021.
Graveside service and interment will be Friday February 5, 2021 in New Horizon Memorial Gardens in Dora. Rev. James Aycox and Rev. Mark Ridgeway will officiate. There is no public visitation due to Covid-19 restrictions. Everyone is welcome to attend the graveside service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Icey and Bill Stewart; grandparents, Henry and Beulah Stacks Holley; sister, Marjorie Blaylock; brothers, Odell Stewart and Edward Holley and aunt, Myrtle Holley.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Jerry B. James; her children, Teddy James, Kathy Fowler (John) and Dana Pruitt (Henry); grandchildren, Jered James (Stephanie), Desmond Fowler (Kristal), Chay Pruitt (Annslee), Lagina Rigsby (JoJo), JaiDen Heaton (Jacob) and Lakin Pruitt; great grandchildren, John Bryant Fowler, Gracie Slate, Tripp Matthew Heaton, Pierson Pruitt, McKenna Pruitt, Alynn Kate Rigsby, Harper Lee Rigsby, Anna James, Kamden James and Bristol James; sister, Trish Edwards; aunt, Vinnie Mae Anderson; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
