Linda Jay Hamlin Johnson, 80, of Elkmont, Alabama passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Athens Limestone Hospital, Athens, Alabama. Linda was born Friday, October 2, 1942 in Pulaski, Tennessee to Horace Anderson Hamlin and Sarah Woodard Hamlin.
Linda was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Community Baptist Church and formally a member of Holland’s Gin Church of Christ. She enjoyed farming and gardening.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Thomas Walter Johnson.
She is survived by her son, Tracy (Deborah) Johnson; grandchildren, Christopher Johnson and Ashley (Lee) Rodgers; great grandchildren, Dylan Rodgers, Andrew Rodgers, Andrea Johnson and Jenson Johnson; and brother-in-law, Mike Johnson.
Services will be Saturday, February 11, 2023 with Visitation being 12 Noon – 2:00 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama. The Chapel Service will be at 2:00 PM with Bro. Steve Hargrove officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Ardmore, Alabama.
