Linda Jane Williams Sanders, age 81 of Huntland, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 17, 1944, to the late John Malloy and Loretta (Payne) Williams. She had owned S and W Liquor in Cowan, before working at Bell South, Huntsville Hospital, and Shop Right Grocery, where she had been employed as a manager. An avid reader, Linda particularly enjoyed romance novels and mysteries. She also enjoyed watching television, her favorite shows being Andy Griffith, Perry Mason, Little House on the Prairie, and Murder She Wrote. Linda was of the Baptist faith. A wonderful lady, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her brother, Johnny Williams; son, Brett (Robin) Gilliam; grandchildren, Sara (Mahmoud) Yassin, and Grace (Logan) Faulkner; great-grandson, Langston Faulkner; great-granddaughter, on the way, Georgia Faulkner; step-great granddaughter, Oaklynn Faulkner; and fur baby, Callie. Visitation will be from 9-11am on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 am at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
