Linda Gayle Burns age 67 of Athens, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Burns was born August 10, 1947 to Cecil Grant Hargrove and Dorothy Hodson Hargrove
.
Services will be Friday, October 17, 2014 3:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Jeff May, Shane Black and Ronnie Brackeen officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in O’Neal Cemetery.
Mrs. Burns was a member of Oakland Church of Christ. She was a volunteer of the Red Cross, Retired Senior volunteer program and a Girl Scout volunteer.
Preceded in death by her husband, Gerald W. Burns; parents, Cecil and Dorothy Hargrove.
Survived by two daughters, Teresa Gayle Burns Morris and husband, Jason of Athens and Tracey Michelle Burns Sherrill and husband, Christopher of Athens; four grandchildren, Kayla Shea Morris Wallace and husband, Derek, Lindsey Michelle Morris, Caleb Christopher Sherrill and Payton Joseph Sherrill.
Memorial may be made to The American Heart Association or Hospice.
