Linda Gail Rochelle, age 75, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday evening, July 3, 2025, at Poplar Estates.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on May 6, 1950, in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, Linda was the daughter of the late Howard Rochelle and the late Ollie Bell Barlar Rochelle. She was a 1968 graduate of Hay Long High School, graduating 5th in her class. She took pre-license courses with Real Estate Education Systems for Finance and attended Columbia State Community College for Office Management/Brokerage in the fall of 1984. She earned designations in all Century 21 courses and attended Corporate Calling Symposium in Los Angeles, California.
From 1982-1988, Linda worked for Century 21 as an agent/broker eventually becoming owner and managing an office with fifteen associates. She later worked five years for Coldwell Banker Bob White Realty, and from 1994-1996 was an independent real estate agent. For a short time, she worked as a receptionist for Coble Furniture Co. in Lewisburg, Tennessee, and worked many years for Dillard’s Cool Springs breaking all records for her department. She was a family service counselor for Williams Funeral Home in Columbia and served as a caregiver for the elderly in Lewisburg.
Linda served as the public relations chairman for Maury County Board Realtors, worked on the professional standards committee, and was elected President of the Century 21 Broker’s Council. She earned several designations including: Residential Specialist, VIP Sales Associated, VIP Relocation Director, Management Specialist, Investment Specialist, and Corporate Caller. She was also an active member of the Maury County Chamber of Commerce, PTO, Scout Leader, and was the sponsor of several ball teams.
She is survived by her son, Dennis (Sheryl) Grooms of Santa Fe, TN, daughter, Windy (Terry) Endsley of Lewisburg, TN, siblings, Sue Reynolds, Bonnie Bassham, Doris (David) Brodrick, Evelyn (James) Burgett, Ralph W. (Sandra) Rochelle, Beverly (Tony) Grooms, and grandchildren, Eric (Kayla) Endsley and Megan (Austin) Carpenter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Howard P. Rochelle, Jr., Katherine Pullen, Bobby Rochelle, Sara Walker, and Ernest Harold.
