Linda Gail James – Obituary

lindaLinda Gail James, 67, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016, at her residence after an extended illness. She attended Lauderdale County High School and was a member of Goodsprings Missionary Baptist Church. She spent her career working locally in the garment industry. She loved spending times with her grandchildren. They were her pride and joy.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the chapel with Daniel Huntley and Marty Mosley officiating. Burial will be in Barclay Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leslie Kelley, Jason Kelley, Wayne Birdwell, Willie Murphy, Lee Hatton, Howard Hatton, Dearl Belue, Albert Weir, and Tony Corum; honorary, Jackson Parker and Jase Kelley.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Davis, and mother and stepfather, Dorothy and W.H. Garner.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol (James) Kirby, of Lexington; son, Bobby (Tracey) James, of Rogersville; sisters, Judy (David) Mason and Nancy (Les) Kelley, both of Rogersville; grandchildren, Chase Kirby, Ashley Kirby, Dacy James, and Kaylee Kirby; great-granddaughter due in October; stepgrandchildren, Josh (Leah) Rumph and Beth Rumph; and a host of nieces and nephews.
