Mrs. Linda Fay Saylor Owen In the late hours of Thursday – March 4, 2021; Mrs. Linda Fay Saylor Owen transitioned and entered the Gates of Heaven at the age of 73 years.
Mrs. Owen was born on the 17th of November in 1947 to the late Max Saylor and Sadie Mabrey Saylor in Marshall County, Alabama. Mrs. Owen was a lifetime resident of the Ruth Community and as well was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. In her earlier years, she worked on the Chrysler assembly line starting as a tech 3, later transitioning to the job bank. After many years, she returned to her position on the assembly line as a tech 3. Mrs. Owen was also the Union Representative for both the job bank and tech 3. Soon after her retirement, she was able to spend more time enjoying her favorite hobbies such as; gardening and tending to her flowers as well as canning and shopping; but above all she cherished the precious moments she spent with her grandchildren, family and friends.
Mrs. Owen will be forever remembered by her beloved husband of 53 years, Melvin A. Owen; son, Jason Owen; daughter, Penny Isom (Stacey) as well as grandchildren; Abigail McDonald (Jacob) and Heath Isom.
In addition to her parents, Max Saylor and Sadie Mabrey Saylor; Mrs. Owen is at last reunited with her brother, Woodie Jim Saylor.
A Graveside Service and burial will commence at the Mt. Oak / Ruth Baptist Church Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday – March 7, 2021 with Bro. Radford Pritchett, officiating services.
Pallbearers escorting Mrs. Owen to her final resting place will include: Tommy Milner, Jon Saylor, Blan Milner, Michael Light, Paul Gill and Jamie Light.
