Linda Carolyn Smith, 76, of Huntsville, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital.She was born on September 22, 1949, in Limestone County to Mack Smith and Lucille Haney Smith.
Ms. Smith is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Debra who passed away in the United Kingdom.
Survivors include one son, Paul Dewberry (Joanie) of Trinity; one daughter, Rhonda Dewberry of Decatur; five grandchildren, Joshua LeClerg, Sarah LeClerg, Evins Dewberry, Emma Dewberry, Erin Dewberry; several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Linda worked as a secretary at Top of Alabama Regional Council of Governments in Huntsville. Linda was known for her great love for animals. She loved her dog, Izzie, dearly. She had Izzie for 10 years when Izzie passed away. Linda was an avid and exceptionally talented artist. She also enjoyed sightseeing and spending time with her family.
Linda will be laid to rest at Athens City Cemetery beside her beloved grandmother, Rose Haney.
