Linda Carol Smith WyattMrs. Linda Carol Smith Wyatt passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee. Born to the late Joe and Hortense Buck Smith, Linda spent most of her life in the Shady Hill community of Henderson County, a place she always considered home.

Raised on the family farm, Linda learned early the values of hard work, faith, and devotion to family. She attended school in Reagan and later graduated from Scotts Hill High School in 1978. The lessons she carried from those early years shaped the steady, loving woman her family and friends came to cherish.

In 1999, Linda was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. For more than twenty-five years, she faced the challenges of MS with strength and determination, never allowing it to define her spirit. Her resilience was a quiet testimony to her courage and enduring faith.

Above all, Linda loved her family. Her children were her pride and joy, and her eight grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Affectionately known as Momom, Momaw, and Memaw, she treasured every moment spent with them. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or simply sitting together, those moments became lasting memories for her family.

Linda also had a fondness for good Southern cooking especially when someone else did the cooking. She appreciated the simple joys of life, from a hearty meal to time spent gathered around the table with those she loved most.

She leaves behind her son, Justin (Bessica) Wyatt; two daughters, April Wyatt Morgan and Jessica Wyatt Ross; and her beloved grandchildren: Brianna Morgan; Levi and Josey Holder; Harley Kinchen; Ainsley Ross; Leanna Wyatt; Westin Wyatt; and Paisley Wyatt. Each of them carries forward her love, her lessons, and the warmth of her memory.

Visitation with the Wyatt family will be held Tuesday, March 3rd from 3:00 until 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 9:00 until 11:00 AM at Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 4 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill, with burial to follow at Mt. Gilead Cemetery in the Shady Hill community.
