Ms. Linda Andrews Byrd, daughter of the late Rufus Jackson Andrews and Alice Mae Crowell Andrews Marshall. Linda was born Feb. 13, 1943 in Tupelo, Mississippi. Linda attended Cherokee Vocational High School and graduated with the class of 1961 and attended Larimore Business College.
Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 7 at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Funeral will be Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Brother Nick McSpadden officiating and burial in Barton Cemetery in Cherokee.
Linda was united in matrimony to Gordon Byrd April 26th of 1995. Gordon preceded her in death in the Spring of 2014.
Linda was an active member of the Russellville Church of God. She worshipped God, was a servant of Jesus Christ, and loved her family. Linda loved to garden and enjoyed cultivating flowers to bring joy to others. She selflessly dedicated much of her time caring for a host of elderly relatives until the time of their passing. Linda loved to spend time with her friends, kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. Linda’s love of God and Family will forever shine through all those who knew her. Linda passed peacefully on Dec. 30, 2016 at her home.
Linda lives on through the life of her children, Keith (Kim) and Kevin (Teresa) Bonds, all of Cherokee; grandchildren, Meagan (Cyrus) Cornelius, Morgan Bonds, Levi Bonds, Taylor (Drew) Malone, Lane Bonds, all of Cherokee; great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Caroline Cornelius, Cora Bonds and Julia Malone; brother, Buddy (Diane) Andrews of Northport; and a host of devoted friends, nieces, nephews, cousins and classmates.
