Limestone County Sheriff’s Department Arrest Athens Woman On Human Trafficking Charges

ATHENS-Limestone County Sheriff Mike Blakley released a statement on Tuesday, April 3 regarding the break-up of a prostitution ring and the arrest of one suspect on Human Trafficking charges.

“Limestone County investigators arrested an Athens woman today on human trafficking charges after uncovering an alleged prostitution ring that had been operating for several months.

Cricket Darlene Kimbrough 35, is charged with Human Trafficking 2nd Degree.  She is also facing other recent charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) and Illegal Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree.  Kimbrough is currently held in the Limestone County Jail with no bond set currently.

On March 28th, narcotics investigators arrested Kimbrough for Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine).  They obtained a search warrant for cell phone, which revealed evidence that Kimbrough was running a prostitution ring.  The ring involved at least fourteen prostitutes, both male and female, who Kimbrough allegedly recruited and set up “sex parties” at motels in Athens and surrounding areas.  Victims were required to perform sex acts with  at “Johns” at the parties, and allegedly paid the victims with methamphetamine while collecting cash from the “Johns”.

Kimbrough also allegedly facilitated the transportation of males and females to the parties, and arranged private meetings between “Johns” and victims in addition to the parties”
