Limestone County Narcotics Unit Conducts Successful Operation in Athens

ATHENS-On November 17, 2025, the Limestone County Narcotics Unit, assisted by K-9 Ares, conducted a targeted enforcement operation in Athens, Alabama. During the operation, Investigators recovered approximately 4 ounces of methamphetamine, 4 ounces of cocaine, and 3 ounces of marijuana.
As a result of the investigation, Brad A. Yarbough, 28, of Pulaski, Tennessee, was taken into custody at the scene.
Yarbough has been charged with the following offenses:
* Drug Trafficking – Cocaine
* Drug Trafficking – Methamphetamine
* Illegal Possession of Marijuana, 1st Degree
Yarbough is currently being held at the Limestone County Detention Facility, and no bond has been set at this time.
Sheriff Joshua McLaughlin commended the efforts of the team, stating, “Our Narcotics Unit continues to work tirelessly to protect the citizens of Limestone County. The removal of these dangerous drugs from our community is a direct result of our team’s dedication, teamwork, and vigilance. We remain committed to holding drug traffickers accountable and ensuring that Limestone County remains a safe place for our families to live and thrive.”
