Mrs. Lily Faye Brasfield Clouse, 71, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 at the North MS Medical Center Hospice Unit in Tupelo. She was born on December 7, 1951 in Hinds county, MS. Faye was a graduate of Mississippi State University and the University of Omaha Nebraska Overseas. She married the love of her life, Danny, on May 19, 1973. A woman of impeccable character, she was a teacher for Itawamba, Lee, and Neshoba County schools for 29 years before retiring. An avid born again Christian, Faye found her ministry serving as a director for children’s church for many years. She was an avid bird watcher and loved to watch the red and blue birds. She also loved to feed many of the wild animals on her mini farm such as the deer and turkeys. Faye even had a catfish pond built on the property and she loved to feed her pet fish. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was known for her cooking. She will be greatly missed by those that loved her.

Faye leaves behind her best friend and wonderful husband of 50 years, Danny Eldridge Clouse of Nettleton, MS; her daughters, Casey Clouse of Diamondhead, MS and Shelley McArthur (Heath) of Guntown, MS; grandchildren, Brianna McArthur of Guntown, MS and Danielle Leech (Tyler) of Smithville, MS; great-grandchildren, Gunnar Stupka of Guntown, MS, Livy Sullivan and Stella Leech of Smithville, MS; sisters, Jane Swain (Joe) of Ridgeland, MS, and Alyce Odeneal (Bobby) of Clinton, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter N. Brasfield and Irma G. Ball Brasfield of Star, MS.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1PM Friday, April 7, 2023 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Rev. Kenny McGill officiating. Visitation will be from 11AM – 1PM Friday only. Private burial will follow in Keys Cemetery in Itawamba County.
