Funeral service for Lillie Mae Kirby, 91, of Trinity, will be Monday, March 4, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Edward LouAllen and Keith Prince officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. Vistiation will be tonight from 6 p.m until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Kirby died on March 1, 2013. She was born on March 23, 1921, in Lawrence County, to the late Molly Sapp Jones and to the late Ab Jones. She loved gardening, working in her flower beds, spending time outdoors, and with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She also loved cooking and baking. She is preceded in death by her husband, Conul F. Kirby; two daughhters, Artie Ruth Kirby and Mattie Vincent; her parents; three brothers, Albert Jones, Buddy Jones, and Hennry Jones; three sisters, Gertrude Morgan, Annie Morgan, and Lizzy Roberts.
Mrs. Kirby is survived by her sons, Yearl Kirby and Larry Kirby; one sister, Edna Dunn; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Butch Hill, Shorty Terry, Kenny Vincent, Jake Harville, Freeman Kirby, and Wesley Kirby.
